Police in Maryland are investigating a car crash that left three teenagers with serious injuries. This event occurred in Lanham, near DuVal High School, on Tuesday, March 26. Following car accidents like this one, the victims may be entitled to seek compensation for their losses. This they may do by filing civil claims against those deemed responsible.
According to reports, a vehicle containing five DuVal High School students was nearing the school around 11:50 a.m., when another vehicle entered the street from a driveway and struck their car. The force of impact caused their car to spin and strike another vehicle head-on. Three of the teenagers were not properly restrained and suffered significant injuries. All three were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Their current conditions are unknown.
No information has been released about the driver responsible or the driver of the other impacted vehicle. Police have not indicated if any charges are pending in this case. At this point, it is unclear if any further details about this event will be released to the public.
Having teenagers who are old enough to drive or have friends who are can be anxiety-inducing for parents or guardians. No one wants to get the call that their child has been involved in an accident on their way to school. Sadly, several families in Maryland just got that call. Now, their kids are facing physical and psychological trials that may follow them for years to come, and as parents or guardians, they may be left dealing with significant emotional and financial losses as well. If driver negligence contributes to car accidents, legal counsel can assist injured victims and their families in doing all that is necessary to seek compensation for any and all damages that are deemed legally recoverable.
