Honoring Mr. Robert Zarbin

At Kenneth G. Macleay Law Firm, we are committed to carrying on the tradition, culture and vision of Mr. Robert Zarbin, a fellow trial attorney and close, personal friend of Mr. Macleay. Since Mr. Zarbin's untimely passing in 2017, our mission has been to honor his legacy as we fight for injury victims and their families.

Macleay and Zarbin also shared an educational background, with Mr. Zarbin finishing law school two years ahead of Mr. Macleay. Later, as lawyers, the two became adversaries in court. With Mr. Macleay on one side and Mr. Zarbin on the other, the two attorneys fought courtroom battles that always resulted in a fair resolution for all parties involved.

After Mr. Macleay became an administrative law judge for workers' compensation cases, Mr. Zarbin often appeared before Mr. Macleay in court. But after much consideration, Mr. Macleay came to a difficult decision: his life's calling was not to be a judge. He had the desire to "leave the cozy confines of a state position," and Mr. Zarbin, who already had a private legal practice, laid the foundation for Mr. Macleay to do that. Mr. Macleay explains his career change from administrative law judge to plaintiff's lawyer like this: "I'm not an umpire. I'm not a referee. I'm the guy with the bat in his hands. I'm the guy taking the shots to win the game. That's my purpose in life."

Mr. Macleay and Mr. Zarbin also shared a passion for litigating cases and being in the courtroom, fighting for the rights of the injured. At Kenneth G. Macleay Law Firm, we will always strive to follow in the footsteps of Mr. Zarbin, a dear friend and fearless legal advocate.
